Here is a magnificent wide antique silver, rose and green gold bangle made in 1883 that not only has the most amazing pattern, but is also in still in excellent condition even well after 130 years later.
Measuring an impressive 38mm wide, bangle is made in sterling silver and has a wonderful floral design on the front. With the petals in rose gold, the leaves are in the much harder to find green gold.
The colour of gold can be altered by alloying it with different other metals such as copper, and during the late Victorian time, cadmium was often used to produce green gold. The colour of green gold is a very soft green, that was used perfectly in this bangle to highlight some of the leaves.
The design is just incredible and so tactile to feel and this bangle will always be admired regardless of the time or the day when it is being worn.
So beautiful and wide, this antique bangle is just spectacular in all respects.
