Here is a wonderful antique pocket watch key that can not only be used to wind a pocket watch, but can so easily be worn as a pendant or attached to a bracelet making a very special and unique charm. Dating from the 1870's, this antique pocket watch key will of course wind a pocket watch, but would also make a wonderful and very unique pendant on charm. Measuring 5.2cm in length, the key is made from rolled gold where the gold is rolled and bonded to the metal shape making it hard and durable to wind the pocket watch, all the while having the gold on the outside to give it such a lustrous finish. The pocket watch key has a ratchet system allowing the lower section to rotate, making it easier to wind a pocket watch and shows the level of sophistication that went into making what is normally considered as secondary to a pocket watch itself. With a beautiful swan on the top, this is a fabulous piece that no matter how it is used or worn, will always be admired. Stock# ES9381 Circa: 1870 $Sold.
Here is such a wonderful and exciting antique pocket watch key that is that and so much more. Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the 1870's, not only does this have a pocket watch key that can rotate into itself securely, but it also has a locket on one side and a carved intaglio seal on the other. The bloodstone intaglio has the Latin phrase "Vincit Veritas" which translates to "Truth conquers" and with this as well as the bird sitting on the top of the intaglio and other aspects of it, leads it to the being the family seal of the Cootes, which actually goes as far back as 1066. With the locket on the other side having a dome front to magnify the image, and a beautiful design at the top, this would of course not only suit a pocket watch, but make a wonderful and very unique and special locket. Measuring 19.5mm wide by 38.3mm, this piece is as beautiful as it is exciting. Stock# ES9422 Circa: 1870 $1,750
