Originally made to wind a pocket watch, this antique pocket watch key could also be worn as a pendant or attached to a bracelet to create a wonderful and unique piece of jewellery that will always be admired.
Made in the 1870’s, it is made from rolled gold where the gold is rolled which is where the gold is bonded to the metal shape making it hard and durable to wind the pocket watch, all the while having the gold on the outside that gives it its beautiful finish.
Designed as scissors, it measures 4.6cm in, and when used to wind a pocket watch, it has an ingenious ratchet system proving just how highly regarded many of these antique pocket watch keys were looked upon.
