Here is a fantastic looking 80 micron gold capped vintage Omega watch from 1952 with flared lugs that not only has a great looking case but a superb and extremely highly regarded movement inside. Most gold capped watch cases are either 10 or 20 microns thick as has been the industry standard for decades, however this Omega is in a very robust 80 micron thick casing. This means that it can take a great polish and still look as good as new without any wear on the case. Measuring 35mm across plus the Omega crown by 43mm from the end of the lugs, this watch sits so well on the wrist and will look so stylish and elegant with any suit. The flared lugs really add that extra element of style and is a real throw back to the designs of the 1950's when this watch was made. The dial is all original with a combination of numerals in pointed index markers as well as the centre sweep second hand. With a gorgeous patina to the dial that has aged so nicely, it matches perfectly with the warm colour of the case. Inside is the exceptional 17 jewelled manual wind Omega calibre 283. This series of 30mm movements was originally designed and used for the British military for its land and sea forces as well as the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. This movement has been completely serviced and overhauled, runs perfect and comes with our twelve month warranty. An exceptional looking vintage Omega watch, this is one that will always look so elegant on the wrist day or night. Stock# W1178 Maker: Omega Circa: 1952 $2,950
