There is something so special and romantic about having a genuine Art Deco diamond engagement ring on your finger, and here is such a lovely example that has so much fine detail that will have you admiring it every time that you look upon it. Made in the 1930's in platinum, the detail in this ring is just wonderful and highlights the beauty of hand making a piece of jewellery combined with how fine platinum can be drawn into when making it into jewellery such as a ring. Although white gold is a fabulous metal used for centuries in jewellery making, it simply cannot be made as fine as platinum which was embraced by many jewellers of the Art Deco era. Sitting in the centre is a lovely 0.50 carat early brilliant cut diamond that is highlighted by a single cut diamond set on each side. The way the band elegant tapers down to the half round band makes it feel so comfortable on the finger, and the detail from all sides of this ring is truly amazing. Made in a design that will always look so beautiful, this is a truly romantic and gorgeous Art Deco diamond engagement ring that will always be loved and treasured. Stock# U178 Circa: 1930 $Sold.
Here is a traditional vintage sapphire and diamond ring that was beautifully hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum in London in 1971 and is set with genuine antique mine cut diamonds. The Ceylonese sapphire has such a perfect colour to it with excellent transparency allowing you to see right through the stone, and this colour sapphire is without a doubt the most sought after of all the colours that sapphires come in. With such a perfect blue, it is complimented perfectly by both the diamonds and the pure white of the platinum. Measuring 1.50 carats, on each side is a mine cut diamond which has all the charm and character of being one of the earliest cut of diamonds. With a total weight of 0.38 carats, further down leading to the band are two single cut diamonds that total 0.04 carats. The sparkle from these diamonds highlights the ring perfectly and this ring will easily accommodate a wedding band being worn along side. This timeless design will never go out of fashion, and is a perfect engagement ring to be loved and adored. Stock# ES9101 Hallmarked: London 1971 $Sold
