Here is a wonderful example of an early Australian ring made by Sigmond Hoffnung and Co in the late 1800's and will be such a wonderful conversation starter.
Made in 9 carat rose and yellow gold, on the top is of course a map of Australia with the top of the ring measuring 11.8mm wide and tapering down to 3.5mm wide at the back.
The combination of the map in rose gold with the band in yellow gold makes it look so beautiful on the finger, then with the incredible hand engraving on the band adding even more charm and character to the ring, makes it so much more special and unique.
An example of this exact ring is on page 121 of the Australian jewellery book, "Australian Jewellers" by Cavill, Cocks and Grace.
This ring has such a wonderful tactile feel to it, that looks amazing on or of the finger that will always be an exciting conversation starter.
