Antique Mizpah ring made in 1878
$4,650.00
The term “Mizpah” is found in the bible and translates to “The Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent one from another” and was given to wish someone a safe return from a voyage, and here is a truly wonderful antique Mizpah ring that will amaze everyone who sees it.
Made in Birmingham in 1878 in 15 carat gold, the ring is predominantly designed as another popular design of the Victorian era – a buckle. And not only does the buckle design look so elegant on the finger, it is set with two pearls adding to its wonderful character and style.
And then amazingly, the top can be opened to reveal the word “Mizpah” under the buckle. This is such a wonderful and exciting feature that will always be such a wonderful talking point and conversation starter.
Measuring 5.5mm wide plus the buckle section, this is such a wonderful example of antique jewellery that is steeped in history.
