Hand engraved antique photo locket

The time and expertise needed to so beautifully hand engrave the front of this double sided photo locket would have been immense and is a testament to the quality of work that could be done over a century ago.

Dating from the Victorian period of the 1890’s and made in sterling silver, the locket measures 4cm across by 5cm to the top of the bail, and the when worn on a necklace, this will certainly get the admiration that it rightly deserves.

With so much detail in the engraving, even touching the front of the locket has such a wonderful tactile feel to it, and then opening it up reveals the two locket sections to place photos of loved ones inside.

As elegant today as when it was made, being hand engraved makes this as unique as it does to beautiful.
