Here is a very beautiful antique solid opal and diamond ring that was made in 1919 and looks as beautiful today as when it was made.
Set in 18 carat yellow gold, the ring has three solid white opals that show beautiful flashes of red to green and are matched so well for colour. Australian opals are regarded as the best in the world, and these Australian opals are just beautiful.
On each side of the centre opal are two single cut diamonds with the four coming together to total 0.08 carats and at the centre of the ring, this distance measures 7.7mm and from left to right it measures 16.3mm.
Sitting perfectly on the finger and with a beautiful claw design to not only hold the stones, but to let the maximum amount of light into the opals and diamonds, this is a very elegant and refined antique ring that will always be admired.

Antique solid opal and diamond ring made in 1919
Australia produces between 90 to 95% of the worlds opals, and are still regarded as the home of the finest opals in the world. Not only this, but Australian opals are much more stable than Ethiopian opals which depending from which mine they are from, have a tendency to crack within a few years of being mined.
