Art Deco Egyptian revival ring
$22,800.00
After Tutankhamen’s tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in Egypt in 1922, the influence that this had on the styles of jewellery was amazing, and created a whole new genre of design as can be seen here in this incredible Egyptian revival Art Deco ring.
Hand made in platinum in the 1920’s, the ring is not just simply set with an opal, diamonds, emeralds and sapphires, but the design is so captivating making this a truly stand out ring that will be admired each and every time that it is worn.
Set with a beautiful solid opal in the centre that measures 1.80 carats in weight, it displays the most incredible and vibrant blues and greens that stand out even more set into the pure white of the platinum and is beautifully highlighted by the sparkle from the diamonds and its colour is highlighted even further by the blue sapphires and green emeralds.
The clever use of emeralds and sapphires highlights the opal so well, as does the angular kite shape that the gemstones are cut into. The sapphires total 0.12 carats, and the emeralds 0.08 carats, and surrounding the opal are eight European cut diamonds as well as a further eight diamonds on each shoulder that themselves are set into such a gorgeous design.
These diamonds all come together to total 0.70 carats and give off such a wonderful sparkle to the ring.
This is such a magnificent ring that is destined to always be admired by all who see it each and every time that it is worn.
