Antique demantoid garnet and pearl necklace

Many people are aware of the deep, beautiful burgundy-red colour that garnets are commonly found in, however there are two green varieties the tsavorite garnet, and the rarest of them, the demantoid garnet which is one of the rarest of all the gems in the world, and is found in this antique necklace.

Made in 15 carat gold in the early 1900’s, the design is absolutely gorgeous and sits so well around the neck. Set with three demantoid garnets that have such an intense colour, the necklace and garnets are complimented so well by the charming seed pearls that accentuate the design.

The length from the top of the centre section to the longest of the two drops is 5cm in length, and from end to end the necklace measures 39.5cm in length making this si so perfectly around the neck where it will always look so elegant and refined as well as catching the eye of all who see it.
