Antique natural pearl bracelet

Here is a gorgeous bracelet dating from the early 1900’s, that has the most incredible natural pearls that are just fabulous to admire.

Made in 15 carat gold, the bracelet is set with five large free form natural pearls that look incredible.

Whereas today pearls are made by having a bead inserted into an oyster resulting in a cultured pearl being produced by the oyster, a natural pearl is where an irritant such as a grain of sand gets inside the oyster and over time the oyster will build up a layer of nacre around it making it not only smooth, but producing a natural pearl. it is estimated that a natural pearl is produced in between 1 in 5,000 to 1 in 10,000 oysters, making them exceedingly rare, and just look at the tassels made from pearls in these earrings.

And to compliment these pearls absolutely perfectly is their “cage” to securely hold them in place. With a wonderful, naturalistic flow to them that perfectly compliments the pearls, many will be surprised when they discover that this bracelet is over 100 years old, yet still has such a modern and contemporary design to it.
