This is a stunner from Rolex!
It is what collecting vintage watches, especially vintage Rolex's is all about.
Here we have a beautiful Rolex watch made during the First World War, and is in fantastic condition.
The movement is a fully jewelled manual wind movement, called the Rebberg movement, and was almost certainly given to and used by a military officer.
The case is stamped "W & D" denoting Wilsdorf and Davis - the founders of Rolex, and this stamp was used until 1915.
With a screw back and screw front to make it as water resistant as possible, it is a great piece of watch history.
The original porcelain white dial with the red 12 is in amazing condition and is so easy to read.
With wire lugs, and an "under and over" style trench band fitted, this is certainly one for the Rolex collectors out there!
