The term â€śToi et Moiâ€ť is French for â€śYou and Meâ€ť and is used for a ring with two main stones and this is believed to have started when Napoleon gave Josephine a sapphire and diamond engagement ring in 1776, and was both a popular and romantic sentiment seen during the Art Deco period when this ring was made. Jewellery from the Art Deco period of the 1920's to the 1940's are often so unique and it is the small details that make such a big difference such as this truly incredible sapphire and diamond ring. Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum in the 1920's, the ring is set with not one sapphire, but in fact four. In the centre is a lovely oval sapphire that measures 0.90 carats, and then incredibly set into each "corner" there is a triangular shaped trilliant cut sapphire. Hand made entirely in platinum, in the centre sits a European cut diamond that measures 0.78 carats.
