Art Deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring made in the 1930’s
$0.00
This ring is so incredibly elegant and highlights the beauty of not only the magnificent sapphire and diamond set in this ring, but also the design which is so beautiful to admire from the sides just as much as the top.
Hand made in 18 carat white gold and platinum in the Art Deco period of the 1930’s, sitting proud in the centre is a stunning round natural sapphire that measures 1.55 carats. This sapphire has such a fine blue colour with excellent transparency and looks even more amazing set into the pure white colour of the platinum. Finding round sapphires is not as common or as easy as one would imagine, as most are cut in an oval shape making this ring even more special.
With a lovely round early brilliant cut diamond set on each side, these diamonds come together to total 1.22 carats, and at the centre, the ring measures 7.9mm by 17.5mm across and looking at how this ring was made from the side will take your breath away. The gorgeous detail showcases why nothing beats handmade jewellery and is also a testament to the quality of jewellery that was made during this time.
Breathtaking from every angle, this is a magnificent ring set with magnificent gemstones.
