Here is a magnificent ring that is the best of both worlds for someone who is after a new ring, with all the charm and character of yesteryear - a very beautiful platinum 2.16 carat mine cut diamond engagement ring set with more diamonds on the side. Exquisitely hand made in using the same craft and techniques of years ago, this ring is set with a genuine antique mine cut diamond that measures 2.16 carats and is J in colour and Si in clarity. These additional diamonds total 0.19 carats and have the millgrain setting along the edge which can be seen as the fine and elegant crimping. Here is a truly beautifully hand made Edwardian designed diamond engagement ring set with antique diamonds that is perfect for someone who wants a new ring, but made in the exact style as 100 years ago. Not only is this ring hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, but the major point of difference between this antique reproduction engagement ring and many others on the market today, is that it has been made using the same technique as what was used a century ago as well as being set with genuine antique cut diamonds. In the centre is a vibrant antique mine cut diamond that measures 0.55 carats and is F in colour and VS in clarity. Not only is this a very white and clean diamond, however it is also a genuine mine cut diamond from over 100 years ago that suits this ring perfectly. Even the three diamonds on each side are worthy to note. Not only is the setting absolutely beautiful, but the diamonds are the earlier antique single cut diamonds which were used in the early 1900's. As there was not the technology back then to cut diamonds that small with 58 facets like today, the single cut diamonds were used and compliment not only the detail but the ring as a whole in keeping true to its design. These additional diamonds total 0.08 carats and lead to the elegant yellow gold band. From every angle and side, this diamond engagement ring will always be loved, admired and cherished. Being hand made the detail that can be achieved compared to the more common cast made rings of today is immense and this ring was made in 18ct white gold and palladium. Palladium is from the same family of metals as platinum, and shares the same wonderful characteristics of being pure white and incredibly strong and durable to support not only the diamonds but the to showcase the fine detail of the setting. If you have been after an engagement ring that new but in a classic vintage design, then this beautiful 18ct diamond engagement ring set with an antique diamond might just be the one. Sitting proudly in the centre is a genuine antique European cut diamond that measures 0.82 carats and is I in colour and VS in clarity and has all the charm and personal character of being cut by hand over a century ago. European cut diamonds share the same number of facets as today’s modern round brilliant cut diamond, but as they were cut by hand over a century ago and more knowledge has been gained about the angles to cut, the European cut diamond usually has a higher top and bottom than the modern round brilliant cut. The setting has so much detail and really shows the difference between when a vintage style is done correctly such as here and you are hard pressed to see it as a reproduction, or other ones that simply don't have that extra level of detail as is seen in this ring. From either the top or the side, this ring has all the style and look of a genuine Art Deco diamond ring and will easily accommodate a wedding bang sitting alongside. Here is a very beautiful antique style 3 stone diamond engagement ring that has been made by one of our jewellers in an exact style of an original Art Deco diamond engagement ring and set with three lovely antique cut diamonds. This ring is an exact copy of an original antique one and not only has all the detail but also genuine antique diamonds. Jewellery today is often case made where the pieces are mass produced and although this has the advantage of bringing the cost down to make a ring, however the quality in the fine detail will not be there and there is a chance that the metal has porosity which are minute air bubbles in the metal causing weakness, so a hand made ring has so many more advantages. And this ring was not just entirely hand made, but made in platinum which is not just the purest of all the precious metals used in jewellery, but also allows the fine detail that can be seen on the side be made all the while retaining the strength for the diamonds. In total there are three lovely European cut diamonds which have the same 58 facets as today's modern round brilliant cut diamond, but with slightly different angles and the centre diamond measures 0.91 carats and the diamonds on each side measures 0.56 carats and 0.52 carats. These diamonds are G to H in colour and VS in clarity meaning that they are in the white range of colour and are nice and clean with no eye visible inclusions. And of course they have the added charm of being genuine antique European cut diamonds that were cut by hand over 100 years ago and are being used to bring a new ring to life. When you look at the detail on the sides, set among the beautiful scroll work is a single cut diamond to add to the charm and character and is exactly as the original ring had. Then to complete the perfection, the sides have the most beautiful detail and craftsmanship and from the top measures 17mm from left to right by 6.8mm wide. This is such a beautiful diamond engagement ring that has the past and the present combined in one beautiful ring. Stock# ES6925 $18,200
