Edwardian era amethyst and pearl necklace

The Edwardian period of the early 1900’s produced some very elegant pieces of jewellery such as this lovely antique necklace set with amethysts and seed pearls in the most wonderful design.

Made in 15 carat gold, the combination of the purple from the amethysts and the white from the pearls matches perfectly and highlights the design so well.

Even from the centre where the two chains come down, there is a charming circle set with seed pearls adding to the charm and character of this necklace even more.

Measuring 2.5cm across by 5cm from the lower amethyst to the top circle, from end to end the necklace measures 41cm in length, allowing the main section to sit perfectly on the neckline.

This is such a wonderful and perfect example of the elegance of the Edwardian era, and will become a much loved piece of jewellery to be worn with pride.
