Antique opal and diamond brooch

$8,750.00

Dating from the early 1900’s, there is no doubt that this antique brooch will capture the eyes of all who see it, and comment on its beauty and elegance.

Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold, this exquisite brooch is set with five solid white opal that come together to total 3.58 carats and are all perfectly matched in colour and are highlighted by the sparkle emanating from the eighteen single cut diamonds that total 0.72 carats.

Even the way the larger opal is in the centre and it graduates perfectly down in size on each end shows just how much time and attention to detail went into making this brooch all those years ago, and is still as stunning to admire today as when it was made.

Measuring 4.4cm in length, this is certainly one brooch that will look perfect on any outfit where it will always be admired.

What are single cut diamonds?

Single cut diamonds

In recent years there has been such a resurgence for genuine antique cut diamonds, especially for engagement rings as many people realise that there is such a charm and character about antique cut diamonds, and although the reality is that they don't sparkle as great as a modern round brilliant cut diamond, antique cut diamonds have a style and character all of their own that can never be matched.
