Exquisite Art Deco ruby and diamond necklace

Magnificent. Is there any other word to describe this incredible necklace from the gorgeous Art Deco era?

This is such an exquisite necklace that is not only destined to be noticed and admired each time that it is worn, but also become a much loved and treasured family heirloom.

Hand made in the 1930’s in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, this is a necklace that shows the quality of jewellery as well as the jeweller who created it, when it is hand made, as well as the impeccable level of detail that went into making this nearly a century ago.

With the platinum chain leading to a section set with a combination of  sixteen rose cut diamonds and eight round early brilliant cut diamonds, this then leads to that truly magnificent section suspended elegantly below.

Measuring 2.5cm in diameter, sitting in the centre is a 7mm round pearl that is beautifully surrounded and highlighted by those gorgeous 18 square cut rubies that total 0.27 carats.

With a further combination of 20 round early brilliant cut diamonds and 40 rose cut diamonds, all of the diamonds in this necklace total a dazzling rubies 3.56 carats.

And looking closer at the main pendant, the way the jeweller set those smaller rose cut diamonds as well as the millgrain finish along the setting which can be seen as the elegant crimping along the edges, show just how much time was put into making this. Even the clasp at the end is made in both platinum and gold, again showing just how much care and thought was put into this.

This is truly an exceptional necklace of equal exceptional quality.
