Stunning French Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring
$18,650.00
What a truly magnificent ring that is destined to always be loved and admired from near or far.
Hand made in France in the wonderful 1930’s Art Deco period in 18 carat white gold, in the centre sits the most magnificent natural sapphire that is unheat treated and is the most amazing blue colour to it that is accentuated by the gorgeous border of diamonds.
For centuries people knew that if you put a sapphire or ruby into a fire it will improve its colour and clarity, and people have been heat treating sapphires and rubies ever since for this reason, albeit it in a more sophisticated way than just putting the stone into a fire! This treatment is worldwide accepted as a normal treatment and not deceiving in any way and is accepted as a standard treatment for sapphires and rubies as it remains stable and does not damage the stone.
However it is more wonderful and exciting when you see a sapphire the exact colour as it was when it was mined all those years ago.
Measuring 4.77 carats in weight, the colour of the sapphire has a wonderful lilac-blue overtone that looks incredible on the finger. This is a stone that just looks amazing in the sunlight and will have you looking down at it each time that it is upon your finger.
Surrounded by fourteen mine cut diamonds that total 1.82 carats, the ring measures 1.5cm by 1.5cm and has the most elegant detail under the ring.
With French hallmarks on the band, this is such a wonderful, decadent ring that is a true treasure.
