Antique ruby and diamond snake ring
$6,150.00
Queen Victoria was such an incredible and influential leader of England with her fashion, style and tastes dictating what was fashionable not only in England, but also Europe and beyond, and when she was presented with a snake ring as her engagement ring from Prince Albert, this made the snake, or serpent ring as it is also known as, such a popular design that continued even well after her passing, and here is a fabulous antique snake ring that was made in 1913 and will look amazing on any finger.
The snake form represented an eternal love that has been seen in jewellery as far back as Roman times, and this ring was hand made in 18 carat yellow gold, and is set with a gorgeous 0.16 carat mine cut diamond at the top of the head that is then highlighted with two natural ruby “eyes”.
Measuring 13.2mm wide at its head to 7.4mm wide at the back, this ring has such a smooth and sleek look and feel to it that makes it so comfortable to wear all the time.
With a connection that is steeped in history, this is a truly fabulous ring that will make a wonderful conversation starter each time that it is noticed and admired.
