Here is a beautiful antique diamond engagement ring that was made 135 years ago, and looks as beautiful today as when it was made and is set with the beautiful mine cut diamonds. Mine cut diamonds were first cut at the start of the 18th century and were the first diamond to have fifty eight facets like today's modern round brilliant cut diamond. The mine cut diamond is also known as cushion cut diamonds and so-called as they are not perfectly round and resemble a cushion shape around the side. So full of charm and character combined with being cut entirely by hand, there is nothing quite like genuine antique mine cut diamonds.
