Dating from the 1870's, this Victorian era ring looks as beautiful from the top as it does the sides thanks to not only the diamonds but also the incredible details on the sides. Set with a total of twenty one old cut diamonds, in the centre this diamond weighs0.40 carats with the remaining twenty diamonds having a total weight of 2.80 carats bringing the total diamond weight to this ring to a sparkling 3.20 carats. The charm and sparkle from antique diamonds that were cut by hand is just so unique to antique rings and makes them so much more special. The diamonds are set into sterling silver as it was known for centuries that gold will reflect yellow into the diamonds, so silver was used at this time as platinum, although discovered centuries earlier was not yet used in jewellery and white gold had not been invented and would not do so until the early 20th century. The top section measures 27.6mm by 12.4mm and really accentuates the finger so well and would not only suit any finger but also make an incredible antique diamond engagement ring that really makes an impact. And then both sides have the most delightful scroll work in rose gold that leads to the yellow gold band which shows how much time and attention to detail went into hand making this ring all those years ago. This is such a spectacular antique diamond ring that will look incredible on the finger no matter when it is worn and will have you admiring it for hours on end. Stock# T192 Circa: 1870 $12,800
