Here is a traditional vintage sapphire and diamond ring that was beautifully hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum in London in 1971 and is set with genuine antique mine cut diamonds. The Ceylonese sapphire has such a perfect colour to it with excellent transparency allowing you to see right through the stone, and this colour sapphire is without a doubt the most sought after of all the colours that sapphires come in. With such a perfect blue, it is complimented perfectly by both the diamonds and the pure white of the platinum. Measuring 1.50 carats, on each side is a mine cut diamond which has all the charm and character of being one of the earliest cut of diamonds. With a total weight of 0.38 carats, further down leading to the band are two single cut diamonds that total 0.04 carats. 18 carat white gold and platinum Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring
The Art Deco era of the 1920's to the 1940's produced some truly stunning designs that have stood the test of time, and here is a very elegant sapphire and diamond engagement ring that looks as beautiful today as when it was made. Hand made in 18 carat white gold and platinum, in the centre sits a beautiful natural sapphire that measures 0.80 carats and displays such a fine pure blue colour. The colour emanating from this is just perfect and looks even more beautiful set into the platinum. And then not only are there diamonds surrounding the sapphire, but they alternate in size. There are six larger single cut diamonds and six smaller single cut diamonds. Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring made in France in the 1920’s
Here is a spectacular example of a genuine Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring that was made in France in the 1920's, and looks as beautiful today as when it was first made. Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, the design alone of this ring is so elegant and in the centre is an early brilliant cut diamond that measures 0.12 carats in weight and is highlighted by the four blue sapphires surrounding it. These sapphires total 0.60 carats and are all matched perfectly in colour and transparency and then to highlight the ring even further, there are four rose cut diamonds set between each sapphire. These additional diamonds total 0.04 carats and add that extra amount of sparkle and charm to the ring. This antique sapphire and diamond ring was made in 1916 and will so easily suit any finger and occasion and is so comfortable and practical to wear all the time. Made in 18 carat yellow gold, both the sapphires and the diamonds are slightly set into the band making it very practical to wear all the time, especially if someone is after a ring where the stones don't sit up to high. The three lovely sapphires all have a wonderful blue and total 0.34 carats and set on each side of the centre sapphire is a European cut diamond, with the two diamonds having a total weight of 0.08 carats. Measuring 5.4mm wide at the centre by 13.6mm across from one sapphire to the other, this is such a comfortable ring to wear all the time, that is made even more wonderful by the fact that over 100 years later it still looks as beautiful today as when it was made.
