Antique glass cameo necklace

$7,200.00

Every now and again we come across a piece of antique jewellery that truly is museum quality and here is a spectacular antique glass cameo necklace made in France in the early 1800’s.

Glass was another material that used in jewellery making in England as well as France and both countries created some truly spectacular molded glass cameos such as the three that are in this necklace.

Made around 1810 in 18ct yellow gold, each cameo is of a woman’s head in profile and has so much detail and character that really seems to bring them to life. Each are in a beautiful warm golden orange colour and the design of the necklace itself is just so spectacular in its fringe design leading to the cameo in the centre.

Laid out from end to end, the necklace measures 43cm in length allowing the centre cameo to sit perfectly on the neckline allowing it to be admired for its classical beauty and sophistication.

With French hallmarks on the elegant clasp at the back, this neoclassical French cameo necklace is just spectacular and will make any woman feel like royalty when this is around her neck.

A truly spectacular piece of antique jewellery to excite and delight.
