Antique spinner fob made in 1907

Antique spinner fobs or swivels as they are also known as, were originally designed to be attached to a gents Albert chain at one end, however today these are  more commonly worn as pendants by women either on a chain or back on an Albert chain when worn around the neck, where they have the advantage to be able to easily rotated over to change the side and therefore the colour that is facing forward.

This particular one dates from 1907 and was made in 9 carat rose gold with the colour of this antique rose gold having such a wonderful warm tone to it and is highlighted with a rigid curb link detail crossing over the top of the oval bloodstone piece on one side and the carnelian on the other.

Measuring 2.3cm across by 2.6cm plus the link for a chain, regardless of which side is facing forward, this antique spinner will always look so elegant and attractive.
