Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring

$7,250.00

Here is such a gorgeous ring that was so beautifully hand made in the 1920’s Art Deco era in a design and style that is as fashionable today as when it was made and is destined to always be loved and admired each time that it is worn.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, in the centre sits a lovely natural sapphire that measures 1.19 carats and has the added beauty of not being treated in any way.

Centuries ago people realised that if a sapphire or ruby is heated in a into a fire it will improve its colour and clarity, and since then people have been heat treating ever since for this reason. This treatment is worldwide accepted as a normal treatment and not deceiving in any way and is accepted as a standard treatment for sapphires and rubies as it remains stable and does not damage the stone.

However this sapphire is a lovely natural unheat treated sapphire that has such a lovely soft blue colour throughout the stone that is complimented by both the design and the diamonds set on the side.

The scroll work detail around the setting is so beautiful, and on each side the ring is set with a single cut diamond with the two having a total weight of 0.06 carats and add the right amount of sparkle to an already very beautiful ring.

This ring sits so well on the finger and will easily suit any finger as well as making a very beautiful and special engagement ring.

The Art Deco period of the 1920’s resulted in some very beautiful rings, and this one is certainly in that category.
