Steel Cartier La Dona watch

The Cartier La Dona is a very rare and highly sought after watch by Cartier due to its short production run and unique design.

The La Dona was released in 2006, it was to honour singer and actress Maria Felix (1914-2002). Due to her bold and strong sense of style, she was affectionately given the moniker ” La Dona”. A long time client of Cartier, she also commissioned them to make her some bespoke items of jewellery.

When Cartier made the La Dona in her honour, it was fashioned after her favourite animal in jewellery – the crocodile. Having a asymmetrically shaped watch case, it was to mimic the jaws being open. This case measures 18mm across at the top and 21.5mm wide at the bottom, giving it such an incredible look on the wrist.

Made in stainless steel in 2008, the dial has Cartier’s distinct look with the Roman numerals that graduate out in size, and is fitted on the beautiful stainless steel band that feels so sleek and comfortable to wear all the time.
