Antique sterling silver watch made by Fairfax & Roberts
This wrist watch was made well over 100 years ago and still has its original white enamel dial that is as clean and easy to read today as when it was made, and looks so elegant on the wrist.
Made by the Australian jewellery company Fairfax & Roberts in the early 1900's, the watch case which measures 31.5mm across plus the crown, was made in Switzerland and is stamped 0.935 meaning that it is 93.5% silver which is in fact higher than sterling silver which is 92.5% silver. Displaying numbers as well as the seconds down the bottom, both the numerals and the hands have achieved such a wonderful patina that add so much to its charm and character.
With a look of a bygone era, this antique wrist watch is as beautiful as it is exciting for its age and charm.
