First released in 1917, the Cartier tank watch was an instant success and over the years the variations of the "Tank" have been designed such as this incredibly elegant Cartier Tank Anglaise.
Produced between 2012 until 2020, the Cartier Tank Anglaise retains the elegance and class of the traditional Cartier Tank and has the ingenious and very sleek crown that is actually inside the side of the case.
Made in 18 carat rose gold, the colour of the gold has that lovely warm tone that looks even more beautiful when worn on the wrist, and with the dial set with eleven diamonds and the twelve in Roman numerals, this is complimented by the elegant star burst design to the dial, and the sparkle from the diamonds really adds an elegance that epitomes the style and sophistication of Cartier.
Inside it is powered with the Cartier quartz movement which has just been serviced by our in-house watchmakers and comes with our twelve month warranty, and the watch case measures 22.5mm across by 30mm and is fitted on a Cartier band in red along with the 18 carat rose gold Cartier buckle.
Complete with its box and papers, this is without a doubt one of the most elegant Cartier watches out there, and one that is as unique and hard to come by as it is beautiful.

A brief history on the Cartier Tank watch.
The Cartier Tank watch was created by Louis Cartier in 1917, and was actually inspired by the army tanks that were first used in World War One. First introduced in 1918, the Cartier Tank watch has been such an easily distinguishable model. This is thanks to its clean straight lines, somewhat mimicking an army tank.
Variations of the Cartier Tank have been produced including the Tank Louis in 1922, the Tank Americaine in 1989, and the Tank Francaise in 1996.

This allows us to be able to service your Cartier watch to Cartier standards. Along with Cartier, we can service other watch brands such as Omega, Rolex and Patek Philippe to name a few.
When we expanded and renovated our store in late 2022, we put in not only a full watchmaking and polishing workshop, but two watchmakers. Our head watchmaker, Lorenzo Del Rosso, used to used to work for Tag Heuer, LVMH and then Rolex, before coming to Kalmar Antiques. We also now an authorised OMEGA watch service centre. This allows us to be able to service your Omega watch to full Omega specifications all on-site.
