There is nothing like the pure blue from aquamarine, and there is nothing like wearing an antique necklace around your neck and when these two are combined, it results in a truly fabulous piece of antique Edwardian era jewellery that is destined to be loved, cherished and admired.
Hand made in 18ct rose gold, the rose colour is softer than that of 9ct rose gold and this necklace has such a wonderful soft warm colour to it.
Sitting so proudly in the centre is that magnificent 1.70 carat aquamarine that is the most perfect blue in colour. Matching so well with the rose gold, this aquamarine looks divine in its setting.
Of course it isn't just the elegance of the bezel setting that makes this such a stunning piece of antique jewellery, it is also the design of the fancy bars on each side and sitting suspended below the aquamarine. The delicate scroll work is typical of the jewellery from the Edwardian period which was when this aquamarine necklace was made.
From end to end, the chain measures 40cm in length, and from the top of the aquamarine to the bottom of the fancy bar measures 3.5cm in length.
This antique aquamarine necklace was made in such an elegant design and is still such a wearable piece of jewellery today and is what makes owning and wearing antique jewellery all about.
