Antique diamond ring made in 1888

$5,800.00

“Star setting” is where the beads securing the gemstone, in this case a diamonds, to the gold are made in a “star” pattern. Quite often this design is called a gypsy ring, but that is where the diamonds are set into the band without the star design.

And while both are an attractive design, the star setting adds that extra element of charm.

Made in London in 1888 in 18 carat yellow gold, in the centre sits a lovely mine cut diamond that measures 0.38 carats and has such a wonderful sparkle to it. With all the charm on the setting combined with the beauty of a lovely mine cut diamond, this is a ring that will always look so elegant on the finger.

The ring has a lovely soft curve to the top and tapers from 6.5mm wide at the centre to 3.5mm wide at the back, and with the high polish finish and design of the ring, this ring can so easily be worn with other antique rings as well as modern and always fit right in.

As elegant today as when it was made over 130 years ago, this is the perfect ring to wear all the time.
