This ring was made during the Victorian period in the 1870's and not only looks so beautiful from the top, but it also has a locket compartment on the reverse side.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the design is beautiful with a traditional cluster of pearls surrounding a rose cut diamond in the centre. And looking close, the setting around the diamond is so charming as it is set into a gorgeous star design.
On each side are three more pearls that are set among beautiful hand engraved shoulders that add that extra element of charm and character to the ring.
Turning the ring over reveals a sweet and charming aspect of the ring - a locket compartment for hair or even a very small photo. This makes this ring so much more charming and romantic than so many massed produced rings and this ring showcases why antique jewellery is not only so beautiful but so romantic as well.
Measuring 9.7mm wide at the centre, this is a lovely example of a genuine Victorian era ring that will always look perfect on the hand.
