A demi parure is the term given to a matching suite of jewellery such as can be seen here in this Victorian era demi parure brooch and earring set.
Dating from the 1880’s, this set was made in 15ct gold and each earring is set with a rose cut diamond and measures 18mm in diameter to 26mm to the top of the shepherd hooks. The brooch is set not only with a rose cut diamond but also a pearl and sapphire and also has the wonderful feature of a locket on the reverse side. Measuring 34mm in diameter, both the earrings and the brooch have the most wonderful design typical of this period.
Fitted in its original box, this is such a lovely antique demi parure that worn together, will really make such an elegant statement.
