Antique guilloché enamel diamond and pearl pendant
$3,650.00
Guilloché enamel is a decorative technique in which a very precise and repetitive pattern is engraved into an underlying material such as gold or silver and then the enamel applied over the top, and after the firing process is completed, it is polished back to a high lustre revealing the engraved pattern below the surface such as can be seen here in this truly gorgeous antique pendant from the Edwardian era.
Designed with a romantic heart that is set with a European cut diamond in the centre, it is not just framed by a border of charming seed pearls, but there are a further six heart designs each set with a pearl with pearls set between. And to show just how much thought, time and attention to detail went into making this pendant over a century ago, the pearls set between each heart shape graduate from smaller ones towards the centre and a larger one on the outside.
With three additional pearls set into the bail at the top, the pendant measures 20.8mm across by 28mm to the top of the bail and will look so elegant around the neck.
