Antique guilloché enamel locket

Guilloché enamel is a beautiful decorative technique in which a very precise and repetitive pattern is engraved into an underlying material such as gold or silver, then the enamel is applied over the top, and after the firing process is completed, it is polished back to a high lustre revealing the engraved pattern below the surface such as can be seen here in this beautiful antique locket from the Art Deco era of the 1920’s.

Made in sterling silver, the locket measures 34.5mm in diameter and both sides have the most beautiful blue enamel with the mesmerising pattern beneath that shows through so beautifully in the light.

Inside it has its two original bezels to allow to photos to be placed inside, that once done will make this locket even more personal and special to the wearer.

In wonderful condition, this is such an attractive locket just as much as a fine piece of jewellery, and one that will not just be admired, but much loved each and every time it is around your neck.
