Rose gold antique gate bracelet
Rose gold antique gate bracelet made in the 1920's.
Kalmar Antiques in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney have been repairing antique jewellery, watches and clocks for over thirty five years.
The term "night and day" bracelet is used for an antique bracelet that has a pattern or engraving on one side, and plain on the other. This was a popular design often seen in antique curb link bracelets as well as gate bracelets. While it is assumed that the plain side was worn during the day, and then the engraved, or patterned side during the night, it is safe to say that the fancier side would have been the one that was most commonly worn showing.
