During the late 1800's and early 1900's, men had their Albert chains to attach their pocket watch to, and the ladies had these lovely feminine Albertina's to wear with their pocket watches with the pocket watch at one end and attached to an outfit at the other, however today these are more commonly worn as a bracelet where they look so elegant sitting beautifully on the wrist, or when joined with another, they make a fantastic necklace, and regardless of how you choose to wear this, there is no doubt that it will always look stunning and get the compliments that it deserves.
Dating from the 1890's, this Albertina was made in 9 carat rose gold, and the colour of the rose gold alone has that beautiful warm colour to it that looks even better when worn against the skin.
Not only is the colour of this so beautiful, but the two slide sections along with the lovely and feminine tassel add even more character and charm to this piece.
With a swivel clip at one end, and a large ring to attach it to when worn as a bracelet, this measures 21cm bracelet, and from the swivel end to the end of the tassel, this measures 28cm, and when worn as a bracelet, the tassel hangs so elegantly.
This is such a beautiful example of a Victorian era Albertina, and one that will always look so elegant regardless of how it is worn.
