Cartier have always produced such elegant timepieces and jewellery in designs that are not only so beautiful, but so unique to themselves, and the Cartier Baignoire is certainly no exception.
Cartier produced their first oval shaped watch in 1912, however it wasn’t until 1958 that it came into further production and since 1973, this distinctive oval shape has been called the Cartier Baignoire and is arguably one of the most elegant watches to sit on your wrist.
Made in 18 carat white gold, the oval case with its distinctive wider than normal bezel really give the watch such a smooth, sleek look which is highlighted further by the absence of the crown for setting the time on the side. The time is set by pressing in the button on the back that will then move the hands.
Measuring 18mm across by 24.6mm and fitted on a leather band, it also has its original 18 carat white gold Cartier buckle, and is powered by a Cartier quartz movement that has just been serviced by our in-house watchmakers and comes with a twenty four month warranty.
This watch shows just why Cartier watches are the true innovators for watch design.
