The French certainly know how to make such elegant jewellery, and here is a wonderful fringe necklace that dates from the Art Deco period of the 1920's and looks so elegant around the neck.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the necklace measures 46cm in length and is designed with the most beautiful open work designs that drape elegantly around the neckline.
This is the perfect example of an antique necklace that is as fashionable today as when it was made, as well as being perfect to wear during the day, just as much as the evening.

18 carat gold antique fringe necklace
18 carat gold antique fringe necklace made in France in the early 1900's.
Broadly speaking the Art Deco era was from 1920 until 1940. There will be some people and publications that may state that it started after World War I in 1918, and lasted until 1950, but as there was no reigning monarch to dictate an actual start-finish time such as the Victorian era, the general concusses is from the 1920's through to the 1940's.
