The Cartier La Dona is a very rare and highly sought after watch by Cartier due to its short production run and unique design.
Released in 2006, it was to honour singer and actress Maria Felix (1914-2002). Due to her bold and strong sense of style, she was affectionately given the moniker " La Dona". A long time client of Cartier, she also commissioned them to make her some bespoke items of jewellery.
When Cartier made the La Dona in her honour, it was fashioned after her favourite animal in jewellery - the crocodile. Having a asymmetrically shaped watch case, it was to mimic the jaws being open.
This Cartier La Dona watch is made in 18 carat yellow gold, and has that distinctly shaped watch case that measures 16mm across at the top, and 20.7mm at the bottom, by 23mm in length from the top to the bottom of the case. With Cartier's distinct style of dial with the Roman numerals that graduate out in size, it is fitted on its original red Cartier leather band with its 18 carat gold buckle.
With its quartz movement keeping perfect time and with our twelve month warranty, it also comes complete with its box and papers, and this is both such an elegant and unique Cartier watch that will always be loved and admired.
