Magnificent 19th Century antique peridot necklace

Here is a truly magnificent antique necklace that is destined to not only always be admired each and every time that it is worn, but is sure to become a much loved and treasured family heirloom.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the 1860's, this incredible piece is breathtaking from anywhere that you look at it.

To begin with, the rich colour of the gold compliments the piece as a whole and gives an idea of how important this necklace is and indeed was considered all those years ago.

With such an elegant design to the links, laid out from end to end the necklace measures 41.2cm in length and ingeniously attached from the front from either side of the central peridot section. This peridot itself weighs 10.8 carats and has such a fine green as does the other peridot set into the bottom section which weighs 8.30 carats. This drop section measures 5cm in length, and around the neck this is one necklace that looks absolutely breathtaking and is sure to be admired from near or far.

This is an exceptional piece of Victorian jewellery, and truly up there with the best of the best.
