This antique collar not only looks amazing from near or far, but due to how it was made feels so incredible around the neck and will no doubt always be admired every time that it is worn.
Dating from the Victorian period of the 1870's, this collar was made in 18 carat yellow gold and designed ingeniously as a series of discs, each set under the next one. This allows for an incredible design that captures the light and has a beautiful tactile feel to it that wraps itself so gracefully around the neck.
To further highlight the design of this collar, each disc has been expertly hand engraved which would have been an immense undertaking when this was made over 150 years ago with the use of modern machines and tools - a true testament to the quality of work the was produced during this time.
Measuring 45cm in length, it is fitted with a bolt ring that can be worn at the back, or as a feature on the front as well as being able to very easily support a lovely antique locket or seal attached to it.
