Bohemian garnets are a variety of garnets known as Pyrope garnets, and they have a very distinct rich burgundy-red colour, and have been found in the former Czech republic region since the Middle Ages, and were very popular in jewellery of the Victorian era when this fringe necklace was made.
Made in silver gilt and dating from the 1880's, this magnificent necklace is set with a combination of clusters as well as drop sections that results in a truly fabulous design that will be admired from near or far.
With its rich burgundy-red colour destined to stand out when worn around the neck, from end to end the necklace measures 40cm in length with the centre drop measuring 4.5cm in length, with the end drops graduating down to 2.5cm in length.
This is a spectacular necklace, and one that will be so easy to wear for any occasion as well as being perfect to wear with that special outfit for the special occasion to really make a statement.
