This antique bracelet is truly spectacular from every angle and from so many aspects that makes this an incredible bracelet that will surely become a prized family heirloom.
Made in the early part of the 20th Century in 18 carat rose and yellow gold, both the diamonds and the sapphire are set in platinum. And waht a truly special sapphire it is.
For centuries it has been known that if you heat a natural sapphire or ruby in fire, this will improve its colour and clarity and this very stable and common treatment is accepted worldwide. However there is nothing more wonderful than having a natural sapphire that has not undergone any treatment at all, other than being polished, as in this magnificent sapphire set into the bracelet.
Not only has it not undergone any heat treatment, but it also weights an impressive 1.90 carats and is a Ceylonese sapphire. Ceylonese sapphires have long been regarded as the finest in the world, and the colour of this sapphire is truly magnificent to admire. With such a strong royal blue colour, the sapphire looks amazing in sunlight as well as indoor light and will always capture the eye when worn, day or night.
Surrounded by ten European cut diamonds that total 1.30 carats, there are also a further eight European cut diamonds as well as thirty rose cut diamonds that all come together to total 1.10 carats. However it is not just the diamonds and sapphire that is impressive, as the elegant design in which the diamonds are set, combined with the beautiful links of the bracelet all go to create a truly exceptional piece of jewellery to be worn with so much love and pride.
From every angle that you look at this breathtaking bracelet, it will fill you with awe and wonder and once placed on the wrist, will make any woman feel like royalty.

A brief history on heat treating sapphires and rubies:
Sapphires and rubies have been heat treated for centuries to improve their colour and clarity and this is a worldwide accepted practice. It should be clarified that a sapphire or ruby that has undergone some form of heat treatment is still a natural gemstone from the ground and is not a synthetic/man made stone and the treatment is completely stable. Lately on the market there is a technique of glass filling or lead filling stones which will improve the colour of a natural gemstone, however this treatment is very unstable and the stone may look worse in a few years.
