This is such a charming ring that not only will look perfect on any finger, but also sits so comfortably and is so easy to wear all the time.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold in 1900, the ring is set with three single cut diamonds that total 0.06 carats in such an attractive design sitting at an angle across the finger. The way they are set low into the ring makes it practical to wear and keep on all the time from day and into the evening. With a lovely beaded design along each edge, the ring measures 5.6mm wide at the front and tapers to 2.7mm at the back.
With a lovely smooth feel to it, this is the perfect antique ring to wear along with other antique jewellery or modern and always look perfect.

What are single cut diamonds?
These are small diamonds usually around 0.01 carats to 0.05 carats in size. They are often found on the shoulders of rings or surrounding a centre stone for example. While today modern technology will allow for a 0.01 carat diamond to have 58 facets and be a round brilliant cut diamond, single cut diamonds were used from the later part of the 19th Century up until around the 1930's-1940's. Commonly found with eight facets on the top (the crown) and eight facets on the bottom (the pavilion) these are sometimes found with total facets between 16 to 18.
