Antique green sapphire and pearl pendant

Sapphires come in every colour excluding red, as when it is red it is a ruby, and one of the most beautiful colours is the green sapphire such as the one set into this very elegant antique pendant.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the Edwardian era of the early 1900’s, in the centre sits that beautiful sapphire that measures 1 carat in size, and has a very lovely green-blue overtone to it that is complimented by the eight pearls surrounding it.

And then there is the lovely design that is such an attractive shape with not one but two borders that highlight the design perfectly.
