Antique guard chain made in 15 carat gold in the 1890's

Here is a wonderful full length antique guard chain that has not only a wonderful heft but such a tactile feel to it.

Originally designed to hold a ladies pocket watch in the lapel, today you can still so easily put a ladies pocket watch on the end, as well as such items as a locket, seal or swivel, or anything to the hearts content, and wear it full length or doubled around the neck

Made in 15 carat rose gold, the colour of the rose gold has such a wonderful warm tone to it that has achieved a delightful patina that modern pink gold simply does not have. It is so hard to find these in 15 carat gold making it even more special and unique.

Measuring 142cm in length, it is fitted with its original swivel and from end to end it all in superb condition.

So beautiful and stylish with so many options on how to wear it, this antique guard chain is just wonderful.
