Antique rose gold bangle made in 1896

Here is a very elegant antique bangle that is so comfortable to wear all the time, and is made in the style of a curb link bracelet.

Made in Birmingham in 1896, the bangle was made in 9 carat rose gold, with the gold having such a beautiful warm colour to it that looks even better against the skin.

Being hinged allows the bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist and it is also fitted with a safety chain for added security.

This will easily become the one piece of jewellery to put on and wear to any event.

Description

Antique rose gold bangle made in 1896

This antique rose gold bangle was made in rose gold.

What is rose gold?

Rose gold is produced by adding copper to the pure gold when it is being alloyed along with other metals. This is done for two reasons. First, pure gold is too soft for jewellery, so other metals are added to harden it. And secondly, when copper is added, not only does this harden the gold, but it makes it a beautiful warm rose colour.

When was the Victorian era?

The Victorian era was from her reign from 1837 until 1901. She was the longest serving monarch in British history until Queen Elizabeth who reigned from 1952 until 2022
