Antique ruby, sapphire, emerald and diamond galleon brooch

$0.00

This brooch is truly like no other and will no doubt always be admired and commented on every time that it is worn.

Made in France in the early 1800’s in the for of a galleon, the detail in this brooch is exceptional and more so when you realise that it was made over 200 years ago.

Entirely made by hand in 18 carat yellow gold and silver, the reason that silver was used instead of white gold or platinum is that it was not until the early 1900’s that white gold was invented, and platinum although already discovered, was not used in jewellery until around this same time.

In total the brooch is set with eighty eight eight rose cut diamonds, fifty six rubies, nineteen sapphires and finally six emeralds that all come together to perfectly to highlight the incredible design of this brooch and make it look so fluid.

Measuring 32.5mm across by 31.8mm, this is truly an exceptional antique brooch of unparalleled beauty and design.
