Ivar Holth became one of the most prolific jewellers of the mid-20th Century in Norway, and here is a wonderful vintage Ivar Holth enamle butterfly brooch.

The pure white colour of the enamel in this brooch is so charming and highlights the wings so beautifully, making this brooch destined to always be loved and admired every time that it is worn.

Measuring 33.4mm across by 18mm, and with such a smooth and tactile feel to it, it is perfect to wear day or night.

The enamel is still in wonderful condition and is as perfect today as when it was made.

Ivar Holth enamel butterfly brooch made in the 1940's

This vintage enamel butterfly brooch was made in sterling silver by Ivar Holth in Norway in the mid-1940’s.

Ivar T Holth founded his company in Oslo, Norway in 1943. The company quickly grew to become one of the largest jewellers in Norway. Primarily making enamelled jeweller, they often used the beautiful guilloche enamel technique. The makers mark used on their jewellery was an "H" that sits inside a circle along with 830S NORWAY, or 925S STERLING.
